This week’s meals

October 25, 2015 By paulie Leave a Comment

Yesterday while I was off at the Hard Cider Festival Renee made all the food for the week and then some. Plus she made cookies – mine and Justin’s. She also made a bunch of veggie burgers from the Plantpower Way, which she’ll be cooking up today.

Check it out.

We’ve got noodles, 17 veggie burgers, beans and rice, salad, minestrone soup, quinoa, morning porridge, and some other goodies. The soup and burgers will last two weeks. I doubt we’ll eat all the beans and rice this week. She spent 9 hours total for 7+ days of food. If that sounds like a lot of time, well, we used to spend a lot more time than this drinking and carrying on.

She told me write that the burgers aren’t burned — they’re seared. PlantPowered_Fridge - 1 (1)

The morning starts off with a smoothie, then I have the morning porridge. For lunch I’ll have a hummus spread sandwich with some chips, maybe wash it down with my Kick Ass Chocolate Milk.  In between I’m snacking on spicy pumpkin seeds. For dinner it’s one of the dishes Renee made. For desert I’ll have some of her banana bread or a couple of cookies. In all the deserts she makes, she doesn’t use refined sugar. She’s either using date sugar or honey.

We got the labeling idea from Julie, in the Plantpower way.

Oh and btw. I did contribute – I went to the grocery store on the way home. Since I’m all thumbs in the kitchen, going to the grocery and doing the shopping has become my job.
