“Fuck the bastards, rally the sane”

Just finished watching Active Measures, the new documentary by Jack Bryan.

In the interview David was asked,

What’s the best way to talk to a friend or a family member of an opposing political party without alienating them?
“I don’t know. I’d like to say that there’s a means by which I can talk somebody off of their affections for a modern day Father Coughlin. But I don’t know that I can. I think it’s fuck the bastards, rally the sane”.

Please don’t waste time trying to convince Republicans, or should I say, the party of Trump. The Republican party is dead. Now it’s the party of Trump. They’re corrupt, a mirror image of Trump. They’ll do anything for their agenda of low taxes for the rich, pro-life, and nationalism. No different than a crime boss will do whatever it takes.

If the Mueller Investigation comes out that Trump committed crimes all the way up to treason, was put into office by Russians, Republicans won’t care. They’ll just dig in deeper. They’ll blame it on Obama. Fox News will report that it’s all a plot. Millions will believe them.

Our country has been taken over by those who’s aim is to destroy our democracy. Our government is in full control by those who’s core beliefs aren’t dissimilar to the Handmaid’s Tale.

It’s going to take years to undo the damage the party of Trump has done and will do to our country. 58 days till the 2018 mid-term elections. It starts with voting, to kick the bastards out.

We’ve seen what happens when people take freedom for granted, believe their vote doesn’t count, or think that someone else will fix it.

Don’t let it happen again.
