The White Man Came and Ruined the Internet

February 24, 2015 By paulie 2 Comments

I saw the Internet in 1988, when I learned about the Minitel. I could see everything that’s today, then. I got in, started my first tech idea the same year.

The Internet was not supposed to be what it is today. It was about freedom and freedom of expression. No one was supposed to be in control. Instead, the Internet has turned in tv, it’s controlled by a few giants. It can ruin people’s lives.

I’ll post more about this soon. But here’s what I want to ask. If the Internet is so good, why do most advise not to post anything that’s private or that you don’t want others to know? If it’s so great, how come you can’t say or do anything without being tracked, mined, shared? Where’s the freedom?

Here’s a few links connecting to an admittedly rough around the edges thought at this point.
