My 2nd year at Dick’s, 2nd trip in the HIPEVAN. Got a great parking spot, front row action.
What a great trip, this is turning into.
Part of what makes Dick’s so special is the camping scene – tents and RVs. The tent campers get to pitch their tents on the soccer field – super plush.
Dick’s is the best. The people are so nice, first class all the way. They go out of their way for the Phish shows – they setup showers, there’s even a store –
I’m always in line early, so I can get a good spot on the floor – and a poster. Posters are a big thing for Phish Phans – and yours truly –
The Shakedown scene at Phish shows is similar to what goes on at a Dead show. Not the same, though.
Phish always plays for 3 nights straight at Dick’s, over the Labor Day Weekend. My buddy Tommy P. was with me again this year, he makes the shows special – and he knows all the songs (I’m still new to Phish, so I’m catching up).
When the band comes on the place is jumpin’. Phish Phans love their band – so do I.
Day 2. Didn’t sleep much, the campground jams until the wee hours of the morning. That’s cool, I’ll sleep when I get home. I bring everything with me – all my food.
Saturday night, show #2. Love it. Phish Phans are really nice, they love Dick’s which I think makes them even nicer. Most of them travel to come here.
Sunday night, show #3. More cool Phans – photobomb is bonus. Tommy and I sat in the stands, I needed a break from the floor.
Monday morning, time to head home. The camping scene is the best. I was super grateful to be there, peace and love! Time to head back to the mountains.
