Last night for desert Renee made a pie out of the owners manual, aka, The Plant Powered Way. It was delish.
She made the crust from Almonds and tapioca flour, some honey and dates. The recipe does have sugar — “Hey wait a minute. Aren’t you plant powered people against sugar?”. Hang on, drive through breath.
This is not about religion. We’re making everything we eat, not eating anything in a wrapper, not eating processed foods, not eating fast/comfort food because we want to be healthier and feel better. No other reasons. If McDonald’s works for you, great. Have at it. When any of our recipes do call for sugar we use Organic Date Sugar from the Date Lady.
Then we topped off the pie with Rich’s Cashew Vanilla Cream.
