Who’s behind the label you trust?

July 13, 2017 By paulie Leave a Comment

I sent this to Rose and Brook LeVan at Sustainable Settings. BTW, Rose and Brook are doing work, building clean soil.

Howdy Brook and Rose,

Did you see this?
https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2017/07/06/campbell-adding-more-healthy-options-its-menu/457290001/

We couldn’t trust Campbell’s before, they lied to us and poisoned us. Now we’re supposed to trust them, because they’re “organic”? No, freaking, way.

This is only the beginning. Big Food will start buying organic companies. Consumers will be fooled again, lied to again.

Buying from small companies, people like you, and Ela in Paonia is the way to go. Know farmers, know food. We can’t let the government and/or Big Food kill biodynamic like they’re going to with organic.

Biodynamic is the way to go.

Brook wrote back, sent me this:

Who is behind organic brands

Here’s what’s happening. Big Food is buying up organic brands. Then, basically killing them. Meaning, the “organic” label will be all but worthless.

Brook told me at least a year ago that the organic label was watered down. He’s right. Today’s news tells me it’s much worse than I thought.

It’s way past time to go beyond organic. Know farmers, know food. Buy your food from sources you know. Buying biodynamic, from operations that honor the soil such as Sustainable Settings and Ela — doesn’t cost more. It costs less. What’s your health worth?

Check out who you’re buying your food from, find out who owns them. I don’t trust an organic brand owned by a Big Food company.

I love what Dr. G says — “I’m going to die. I just don’t want it to be my fault”.
